New: A preliminary version of this online data service has been released early and provides data through 2011.

The Electricity Information database contains comprehensive statistics on OECD electricity and heat production, supply and consumption. For each of the 34 OECD member countries the database also includes details on installed capacity, input energy mix to electricity and heat production, generation by autoproducers and electricity trade. World supply data is also available. Time series begin in 1960 for most OECD countries and 1971 for non-OECD countries. This service is updated at the end of April each year.

In July, the OECD files will be updated with revisions and 2012 data for supply; the world supply and consumption file will be updated with 2011 information.
